STATE OF CONNECTICUT PRESS RELEASES DEEP & PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICES
On May 1, 2023 CT DEEP will begin an 18” drawdown of Pachaug Pond to complete repairs to the dam to mitigate the vibration being experienced by residents downstream. Once Pachaug Pond has been drawn down 18”, the work should only take a few hours and the gate will be closed again to allow the Pond to come back up. It is unknown how long it will take to drop the lake by this amount, so I am giving advanced notice to let everyone know when this will be occurring so that residents may be notified.
