The request for drawdown of Pachaug Pond has just been approved by the DEEP.  Details outlining the process are noted below.

11/29/23 - We received a call from DEEP yesterday informing us that they should be drawing down the pond by the end of this week and remain in effect as noted below.  Please remember to take into consideration the amount of precipitation while the pond is drawn down.

"The drawdown will commence on or about November 1, 2023, and will be managed until March 1, 2024, to restore the normal water surface elevation by early April 2024.  With any drawdown and refill period, there is a chance that the desired level and timing of refill may not be achieved within the anticipated timeframe due to weather conditions and uncontrollable events."
