ROADWORK ROUTE 164

CTDOT will be repaving Route 164 from Route 2 in Preston to Route 138 in Griswold. They will also be repaving Service Route 629 and Service Route 630, the ramps on and off I-395 in this area. As you know, the signs are out and some of the work has begun. Milling of the roads should occur from now until approximately 6/29/22. Tentative paving dates are 7/18/22 to 8/5/22. Work hours are approximately 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Hours will be adjusted as needed. Finally, rumble strips will be placed in the middle of Route 164. Please drive slowly and watch for workers. And, yes we will be working on water and sewer in the area soon. We have discussed this with CTDOT, developers and others and have made plans accordingly. We are confident we will have a successful outcome and state-of-the-art development off the newly paved road soon. Feel free to contact Town Hall if you would like more information.
