IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

JulyStart of Fiscal Year

First payment of property taxes due during month.

August 2nd- Interest begins on unpaid taxes.
September School Opens-(may open earlier).

15th- Last day for renters to apply for elderly tax relief, Assessors Office.

Military discharges to be recorded in the Town Clerk's Office by new residents for
tax exemptions.

October All personal property, unregistered motor vehicles, etc. to be listed with Assessor.

1st- Assessment date.

Absentee ballots available 30 days prior to November election.

3rd Saturday- Hunting season opens.

November 1st Tuesday after the first Monday
Election Day.
DecemberHunting and Fishing licenses
(effective January 1)
available in Town Clerks Office.
JanuarySecond payment of real estate taxes and supplemental list of motor vehicles due
during month.
FebruaryHomeowners may apply for elderly tax credits February 15 to May 15, Assessors Office.

Board of Tax Review meets, as published, to hear appeals.

March 
April3rd Saturday- Fishing season opens.

At least 2 weeks prior to Town Annual Budget Meeting- public hearing on general government and education budgets.

May 1st Monday-
Town Annual Budget Meeting.

15th- Last day for homeowners to apply for elderly tax credits. Renters may apply for elderly tax relief May 15 to September 15, Assessors Office

JuneDog License renewals, Town Clerks Office.

Rabies Certificate a must!!!
