NUMERIOUS SUMMER CAMP STAFF OPENINGS
(Counselor & Supervisor Opportunities)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assisting Staff in organizing, implementing, and supervising games/activities for children. Performs related duties as specified by Director. Our mission is to create a safe, secure, entertaining environment that our residents may rely on as an affordable youth activity camp to promote social interaction for their children.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
a. Some knowledge about sport, games and activities, arts and crafts, music, drama, and outdoor/indoor educational programs.
b. Demonstrate dependability, creativity, and ability to motivate groups of children.
c. Enjoy working with children and able to lead groups of 10 or more multi-age or same age participants.
d. An understanding of the various needs/age appropriate skills of diversified groups of 4 to 15 year olds.
e. Attend pre-season orientation.
f. Applicant must be willing and able to attend all weeks of camp with consistent dedication and energy to create an outstanding overall experience for our campers.
g. Willing and able to work outdoors in the sun for up to 8 hours.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
a. Griswold/Jewett City Resident
b. 16 years of age or older
c. Coaching/Mentoring Experience with references.
d. CPR Certified
SUMMER STAFF HOURS:
8:00 am until 3:30 pm (subject to change)
HOURLY RATE
$8.25 - $16.00
(All Hourly Rates Depend on the Candidates Experience in both Youth Recreational and/or Educational Professional Programming)
